Viruses can help charge batteries

We have witnessed that viruses are prone to spoiling the electronic gadgetry with their malicious programmes. There could be a revolutionary change in the use of viruses if we are to believe what researchers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology have to say. The researchers at MIT have found out a way by which the viruses could be genitically modified to charge the lithium batteries. The idea is that the viruses are programmed to become to positive and negative charges of a lithium battery. The research also claims that batteries that are produced this way have the same energy capacity and power performance as rechargeable batteries. Also if this new technology works out it could be made us of in hybrid cars, and also to power a range of personal electronic devices.
